Those concerts composed of group of band performers are called festival. Example of this is the Rock Festival where people get so excited and carried away with the show.

It is very exciting to attend concerts especially when your favorite performer is on stage. But be reminded that you must be well-prepared in whatever happenings may occur like fire, overcrowding and other forms of emergencies or accidents.

Some Concert Tips

I came across an article in USA Today by Whitney Matheson. The title of the article is “What to wear? Where to pee? Some Concert Tips For Adults.” In this article she gives practical tips and advice to any concert goer. Here is one tip that I like and made me laugh, if you want more you can visit www.usatoday.com

  • Please, on all that is holy, don’t look for love. Events like this are not the greatest places to forge love connections, and that’s not just because many attendees are underage. By about 7 p.m., I spotted several girls crying by the soft-pretzel line … possibly because their boyfriends had either abandoned them or cozied up to someone else.
  • Save your voice. Try not to sing along with the band unless instructed. And don’t waste your time screaming for the band’s big hit — nine times out of 10, it’s already on the set list. (In related news, I also noticed it’s no longer customary to hoist a lighter during ballads, either. At a 90-degree stadium show, I guess it’s a good idea not to give off any more heat than you have to.)

Ever heard of Rock Medicine? Rock Medicine was formed when Bill Graham a very famous person in the concert world came to Haight Ashbury Free Clinics to find care for his concert goers. He gave up a promising business career to organize concerts and manage troupes. Together with Dr. George R. Skip who shares the same birthday with Graham, they formed Rock Medicine as we know it today. Here is one tip that is found in their site and that is establishing a meeting place with our friends. Ever wondered if there exists a service wherein you would know if your favourite band or solo artist has a concert. Looking for a perfect concert ticket gift for your friend but you would want to keep it a secret. How would you know the who, what, where and when of concerts. I came across a website named ticketworld.com. It lists down all the possible artist, bands, genre, Broadway and even sports. When you click an artists or bands name, it automatically shows the schedule, the ticket price and availability and a map that will help you go to the place the concert will be held. Indeed, a very useful tool for concert junkies.
